Midterms

midterms na next week...kasabay pa ng graveyard shift(duty) ko sa v.luna hospital...haaayy...wish me luck!
i feel very tired and exhausted today...badly need rest...
my mom is in tagaytay so ako magsasara ng shop kaya eto im here pa sa shop,may customer pa eh...
i miss my village friends...i miss goin out with my kada...i miss no-stress-worry-free days...*singing-"if only i could turn back time,if only i could"*...pero ganyan talaga ang life...we need to study..we need to move on and just be happy...:) potek tumatanda na talaga ko!!!yikes!hehe

Aww...cutie dogie...

kwento lang to ng friend ko. yesterday daw,while she was on her way home, eh mejo nagtraffic papasok sa village nila, may nakita shang doggie, sumakay dun sa isang tryke(tricycle) na walang sakay, eh biglang nag-go na, ayaw pa ring bumaba nung doggie, umaakyat pa nga daw dun sa upuan ng tryke, tinatawag na nung may ari ayaw pa ring bumaba... natatawa na nga daw ung tryke driver, huminto na lang ung driver sa may tabi tapos lumapit na ung may ari and kinuha na yung doggie niyang gusto ata ng bagong adventure..hehe...

Mental Hospital

My duty at Metropyschiatric facility just ended a week ago, and my few days of hospital duty there is? the most unforgettable experience i have so far as a student nurse. i was quite nervous at first, akala ko nakakatakot mga patients dun, akala ko nananakit sila, akala ko hindi sila matinong kausap, but i was so wrong... you'll even have a hard time differentiating the patients there with a normal person coz they look totally normal. as in they're just like the persons you encounter in the mall,school, everywhere... malalaman mo lang na they're mentally disturb/mentally sick pag nakausap mo na sila.

It's a private mental hospital, the patients there pay almost 40 thousand a month, so i know some of them if not all of them, have families who are really eager and willing to help them get back to their normal thinking. and i also know na yung iba dun eh tinatago na lang ng family nila, maybe because kinakahiya nila. a lot of patients there came from a well known family, merong anak ng politician,kapatid ng artista, and meron ring mga showbiz personality na kalalabas lang, meron namang andun pa up to now.

Nakakaawa yung mga patient dun na mejo ok na pero siguro ayaw ng ilabas ng family nila dahil kinahihiya na nila kaya tinatago na lang, so instead na maging totally normal na sila, hindi sila gumagaling kase,ewan ko, for me lalong mababaliw ang isang tao kung ung nakakausap and nakakasama niya araw araw eh mga baliw.

Ung mga patients dun pag malaki na ung improvements and if they're no longer a harm to themselves and to other people, pinapalabas sila, for a short period of time, like 1 week, then if their family states that they can already cope w/ the outside environment then hindi na sila babalik, pero MOSTLY, ung mga ka-family ng mga patients dun, trinatrato nila ung pasyente na abnormal, and that's absolutely wrong, you should treat them as normal persons coz a single wrong act, or ipakita mo lang na natatakot ka sa kanila or nandidiri, or pag napapaalala mo sa kanila ung kung ano man ung naging reason ng pagkabaliw nila, that would surely trigger their emotions, and maaalala na naman nila ung mga hindi okay na nangyari sa past nila..

May daily routine ung mga patients dun, they have a time for like waking up,lunch,siesta,etc...

We were not allowed to take pictures there and we were also not allowed to bring papers & pen while interacting with the patients/clients.

Ung 2nd day namin nag nurse patient interaction kagad kame. we faced a patient and interviewed them pero madaming guidelines sa pagtatanong, hindi lahat pede mong itanong. my 1st client(we're not allowed to call them patients) was a 50+ yrs old filipino chinese woman, based from the infos that i got from her, she's in the state of depression, siya lang kase lagi magisa sa bahay nila, ung mga anak niya may kanya kanyang family na,wala sha laging kasama sa bahay, maski maid wala..

My 2nd client was a 57yr old male, his family is into politics. i'd rather not mention his name, nasa introduction phase pa lang kame sinabi niya na kagad, "hindi marijuana case ko, kaya ako andito kase 2yrs ago nagkaron ng SARS outbreak sa Cebu, that's why i was brought here"...so yun, aside from that, lahat naman ng sinabi niya saken parang totoo. ang pinagtataka ko lang, at the age of 57, wala shang financial probs whatsoever, he's a very handsome man, bakit kaya he doesn't have his own family yet. well as our clinical intsructor told us, wag kameng basta basta maniniwala sa mga sinasabi ng patients.hmm..

Last day namin,socialization na,may games,pos andami ring clients na kumanta,sinabayan rin nila kameng sumayaw..saya kase nagpaparticipate ung mga clients!:) they're very active,pero ung iba sa kanila kahit sobrang nakakatawa na nung mga nangyayari hindi pa rin umiimik,ni hindi nagssmile...:(

I've learned a lot from that experience, and hinding hindi ko makakalimutan ung few days ng duty ko dun.

So much of that, anyway last last wednesday, "21" and i went out on a date...yickee!! we were supposed to watch 2 movies, but because of my punctuality(haha),we just had dinner na lang at Rai Rai Ken in galleria, tapos yun after that hinatid niya na ko pauwi. tapos nagkita ulet kame last week pero sandali lang, my pinadrawing kase ko, nagmerienda lang kame sa yellowcab @rob. then three days ago we watched wedding crashers in galle pos nagdinner kame @kitaro...saya!!:)
